All About Me:

My father taught me how to read when I was only three and I love reading to this day! It was wonderful to find myself in far away places with magical characters.
I started writing TV “Scripts” for one of my favorite shows when I was ten years old. It was fun to write new adventures for my favorite characters.
I began writing again as an adult – short stories published in online eZines, several magazines and four antholgies.
I was a pediatric Physical Therapist for 30 years, working in a school system. Some of my favorite times were when I was working in preschool classes with some of my students while the teacher read books to the class. I loved to watch the students’ eyes light up as they listened to the tales.
I wondered if I could bring that excitement with my writing and began working on a children’s story.
In February 2012, my debut picture book, The Penguin Lady was published!
I am a member of The Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI), and the Children’s Book Insider (CBI) I am also in a local critique group where people bring in their stories and everyone gives editing suggestions. It helps us all to become better writers and editors.
